Mor Kutir Barsana

More Kutir Barsana

🛕 Mor Kutir

Mor Kutir is a sacred and peaceful pastime place in Barsana, connected with the divine peacock dance (Mor Leela) of Shri Radha Rani and Shri Krishna. 🦚💖

The word “Mor” means peacock, and “Kutir” means small cottage or hut.

📖 Spiritual Significance (Mor Leela)

According to Braj tradition:

  • Once, Shri Krishna saw peacocks dancing beautifully in joy during the monsoon season. 🌧️

  • Inspired by them, Krishna began dancing like a peacock.

  • Seeing Krishna’s sweet dance, Radha Rani also joined Him.

  • This divine peacock dance is remembered as Mor Leela.

Mor Kutir is believed to be the place where this beautiful pastime took place.
